Dansko Breast Cancer Awareness Nursing Clogs

I can't say enough for these nursing clogs. Up until recently I wore my running shoes to work every day. Inevitably, after six months (MAX!) all the support would be gone and my whole body would be aching after working a shift. These provide excellent support, help nurses keep correct posture to prevent back strain, and last much longer. The price may deter some folks, but when I considered the longevity of these shoes compared to replacing my tennis shoes every 6 months, it was no contest! Add to this that they are easy to clean and care for and you have nursing nirvana.

Grey's Anatomy by Barco Nursing Scrub Jacket

I am petite, so finding scrubs that DON'T make me look like I'm playing dress up can be difficult. Grey's Anatomy scrubs run small and also happen to be the softest scrub around. Although I've tried many other brands, I just keep coming back to these! I am also incredibly cold natured, so short sleeves are rarely an option for me in the hospital. Although I have a surplus of long sleeve t-shirts, I decided to splurge on a scrub jacket. Best features: sleeves stay where you put them (especially important in dressing changes) and several large pockets for all supplies!

Recommended Nursing Apps (for iPhone)

This is my hands-down favorite nursing app. When you sign up, it will ask you for your specialty. Each time you access the app, it provides you with news and cutting edge research relating to your field. It also has a drug dictionary and interaction checker. A large search engine for diseases and procedures (with references to boot!) rounds it out as the most comprehensive app to date.
